Derrimut Tutors

Nethmi

Nethmi is currently studying a Bachelor of Medicine and Doctor of Medicine at Monash University.  Nethmi completed VCE in 2017 at MacRoberston Girls' High School and achieved an ATAR that placed her within the top 1% of the State.  When she is not gunning at uni and working at Five, she volunteers her time at Embrace Education (a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to assisting disadvantaged high school students across Melbourne).  Did I tell you she is fluent in Japanese too? Seriously.

Steven

Steven is currently studying a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)/Bachelor of Science at RMIT University.  Steven completed VCE at Overnewton Anglican Community College in 2016 and achieved an ATAR that placed him within the top 2% of the state.  School was such a breeze for Steven that he probably spent more time volunteering his time helping other students with their homework than doing his own homework!  Steven loves public speaking and enjoys a good debate.  

Binari

Binari is currently studying a Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine at Monash University. Binari completed VCE at Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School in 2015 and achieved an ATAR that placed her within the top 1% of the State. Binari loves to work with children and has dreams to become a paediatrician. When she’s not studying, she fills her time watching probably-not-so-edifying reality tv shows and Netflix.  We have agreed to not discuss the specifics of what that would entail.

CINDY

Cindy primarily works at the Derrimut campus and completed Year 12 in 2019 at Keilor Downs Secondary College. She is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Laws and Commerce at Monash University, but missed being in a classroom environment so much that she decided to become a tutor after graduating high school! Now working at Five Tuition, Cindy is a dedicated tutor who is passionate about passing on her knowledge and tips to younger students.

ROHITH

Rohith completed Year 12 in 2018 and is currently studying the Bachelor of Biomedical Science at Monash University. After finishing his postgraduate studies Rohith aims to become a medical practitioner, hoping to specialize in surgery. His favourite subject at school was Maths, because he loves working through and solving problems. Tutoring students is meaningful to Rohith because he wants to be able to help students strive in school and bring out the best in their abilities. Something you might not know about Rohith is that he is a qualified Volleyball referee.

 

Point Cook TUTORS

Kavisan

Kavisan (Kav) is currently studying a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Actuarial Science at Monash University.  Kav completed VCE in 2016 at Melbourne High School and achieved an ATAR that placed him within the top 2% of the State.  He is admittedly competitive with his academic pursuits and even more so, with his cricket playing. He also confesses that he is a passionate Bombers supporter.  I know. We have all had to withhold our judgment also.

Neha

Neha completed Year 12 at Suzanne Cory High School in 2017. She is currently studying a Bachelor of Biomedical Science at Monash University. Neha’s favourite subject at school was biology. Tutoring students is meaningful to her because she enjoy working with young people  and supporting them in striving to be the best version of themselves. Neha loves working at Five because of its lovely staff and students. A fun fact that you might want to know about her is that she loves dancing.

Anuj

Anuj is currently studying a Bachelor of Biomedicine at The University of Melbourne. Anuj completed VCE in 2016 at Melbourne High School and achieved an ATAR that placed him within the top 3% of the state. A peculiar fact you need to know about Anuj is that he loves signing up for a good club. From Air Force Cadet Clubs to Reptiles, Amphibians and Fish Clubs- he has done it all!

David

David is currently studying a Bachelor of Biomedical Science and Bachelor of Engineering at Monash University.  David completed VCE in 2018 at Westbourne Grammar School and achieved an ATAR that placed him within the top 3% of the State.  He is a true idealist and wants to change the world. He is also practical and taking steps to see his idealism to fruition. He is currently building a website with free resources to students to assist them with their exam preparation in his spare time.  You should ask him about it!

Thanuki

Thanuki primarily works at the Point Cook Campus and completed VCE in 2018 at Westbourne Grammar School. She is currently studying a Bachelor of Science (Civil and Mechanical Systems Major) at the University of Melbourne. When she finishes her postgraduate studies, she is looking forward to involve herself in bigger engineering-based projects that will allow maximum impact on our society. As a student who avoided asking questions, she heavily focuses on building confidence, as this allows maximum performance within and outside the classroom. She loves working at Five because she is able to see each student grow into a more confident and knowledgeable version of themselves.

Shahani

Shahani is currently studying a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology Major) at the University of Melbourne.  Shahani completed VCE at Al-Taqwa College in 2017 and achieved an ATAR score that placed her within the top 5% of the State.  As a student who would previously shy away from asking questions herself, she is particularly passionate about being student-orientated in her approach to meet students where they are at.  Who would have thought that this little shy girl would go on to become the State finalist in VCAA & Australia-British Society’s Plain English Speaking Award?! She is a great inspiration to us all.

Leanne

Leanne is currently studying a Bachelor of Biomedical Science at Monash University. Leanne completed VCE in 2018 at Suzanne Cory High School and achieved an ATAR that placed her within the top 3% of the State. Needless to say, she knows all the secrets to do well in school. With the constant hope she has for Five’s students, she is determined to help them reach their full potential and achieve their goals. Get yourself a tutor that is never gonna give you up and never gonna let you down, never gonna run around and desert you…

Haris

Haris graduated from Werribee Secondary College in 2019, and mainly works at the Point Cook Campus. He is currently studying a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Melbourne, and plans to major in mathematics. After graduating with his degree Haris plans on further studying a master’s degree and then just wait and see where life takes him. Mathematics has always been what he is passionate about and passing his knowledge onto others and seeing them improve in their mathematical abilities is one of the many things that he loves. A final obscure thing you may not know about Haris is that he also really enjoys reading a lot.

Ilma

Ilma is currently studying a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Melbourne.  Ilma completed VCE in 2017 at Werribee Secondary College. She is an aspiring teacher and loves “words”.  She loves to read words, write words and play with words. We’ve noticed that she isn’t a huge fan of playing on words though.  Another bad dad joke.

Saanjana

Saanjana.png

Saanjana is currently studying a Bachelor of Arts at The University of Melbourne. She completed VCE at Albert Park College in 2019 and is excited to pass on the knowledge and skills she has gained to current students. Saanjana strongly supports Five Tuition’s personalised approach that caters specifically to a student’s weaknesses and strengths. Her biggest goal in life to become a published novelist, and endeavours to write about any personal experience that has shaped her, including but not limited to her undying love for Taylor Swift.



Abdul

Abdul is a tutor at the Point Cook Campus. He finished Year 12 in 2017 and is currently studying the Bachelor of Biomedicine at the University of Melbourne. Abdul’s favourite subject at school was biology, as you can probably tell from his undergraduate degree! Tutoring is meaningful to him because he loves helping students accomplish their goals and teaching his favourite subject. He enjoys working at Five as it allows him to work with a broad range of students from diverse backgrounds with diverse goals.

JEMIN

Jemin completed Year 12 in 2017 and is currently studying a Bachelor of Biomedicine. His favourite subject at school was Maths Methods and Specialist Maths. For Jemin, tutoring a student is all about teamwork, in the sense that the role of a teacher is equally as important as the effort and discipline demonstrated by the student. Jemin believes in how important tutors are for shaping a student’s learning experience and puts forward his best effort to guide them with their learning. An interesting fact about Jemin is that he can speak up to three different languages.

 

Caroline Springs Tutors

Manasha

Manasha is currently studying a Bachelor of Biomedicine at The University of Melbourne. Manasha completed VCE at Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School on a full academic scholarship in 2016 and achieved an ATAR score that placed her within the top 1% of the State. Manasha is passionate about spreading her knowledge and insight to Five's students. Outside of her academic pursuits, she is also an activist for Social Justice. Hashtag the perfect tutor and role model.

Sharan

Sharan is currently studying a Bachelor of Commerce and Engineering at Monash University.  Sharan completed VCE at Suzanne Cory High School in 2017 and achieved an ATAR that placed him within the top 4% of the State. Sharan tells us that he wants to work at Five because he loves helping others out. We are grateful to have such driven tutors like Sharan to help support and inspire the upcoming generation of students in Melbourne’s West.

Yashna

Yashna is currently studying a Bachelor of Biomedicine at Monash University. Yashna completed VCE at Suzanne Cory High School in 2017 and achieved an ATAR score that placed her within the top 6% of the State. Yashna is extremely passionate about tutoring and dedicates time to tutoring her younger siblings which makes her a great role model for our students. We know older siblings can sometimes be a bit strict, but hopefully she’s not too harsh on the homework!  

Roisin

Roisin is currently studying a Bachelor of Arts/Master of Secondary Education at LaTrobe University.  Roisin completed VCE in 2015 at Catholic Regional College Sydenham.  Roisin is passionate about education and would like to become an English teacher when she graduates from university. Roisin has been studying Indonesian since Year 7 and is able to speak and write in Indonesian. She is full of many hidden talents and eccentricities, including being able to touch the tip of her nose with her tongue.  She also enjoys reading romantic novels in her free time.

Kathy

Kathy primarily works at the Caroline Springs campus. She completed Year 12 in 2017, and is currently studying Biomedicine at Melbourne University. When she finishes her postgraduate studies, she wants to be a doctor. Her favourite subject at school was chemistry. Tutoring students is important to her because believes in the difference that education can contribute to the community. She said that the best thing for her about working at Five is the great students and very supportive staff. A fun fact about Kathy is that she loves watching classic films.


AIRA

Aira primarily works at the Caroline Springs Campus and completed Year 12 at Copperfield College and is currently studying the Bachelor of Biomedicine. When she finishes her postgraduate studies, Aira would like to work in the Infectious Disease department of the Walter and Eliza Hall of Medical Research. Tutoring is meaningful to Aira because it is an opportunity to impart the same love of knowledge which her own teachers have instilled in her and share that with her students.
