Ezri

Ezri observed the impact of Five Tuition on her brother. Attending Five helped his schooling performance, allowed him to make friends and offered a safe & encouraging environment. A graduate of Catholic Regional College (Sydenham), Ezri’s favourite subjects at school were Science, English and PE. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree at Melbourne University. Her interests include watching AFL, Cricket, playing music and writing stories.

Alther

Alther went to Westbourne Grammar School from years 7-8 and then Suzanne Cory High School for years 9-12 through the Selective School Entry Programme. Alther’s favourite subjects were Mathematics and Science. His expertise lies in Biology and Chemistry. Currently a Bachelor of Biomedicine undergraduate at the University of Melbourne, Alther is aiming to move into Medicine post graduation. His hobbies include playing video games, volleyball and exercising. He is also interested in popular culture like music and anime. As a tutor, Alther is a fan of tailoring work specific to the learning needs of each student.

Chae Yun

 Chae Yun tutors at Five because she wishes to inspire a love for learning in her students so that they may be motivated to always strive for their best. Hailing from Mac.Robertson Girls' High School, Chae Yun’s favourite subject at school was Biology. She loves teaching Biology, Maths and Chemistry. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Biomedicine degree at the University of Melbourne and would like to go into medicine or, an area related to the health sciences in the future. In her spare time, Chae Yun likes to read and listen to music..

Thanuki

Thanuki graduated from Westbourne Grammar School in 2018, and is currently studying for a Master of Civil Engineering at the University of Melbourne. Her favourite subject to study and teach is mathematics, and she hopes to get many students excited about it. As a student who avoided asking questions, she heavily focuses on building confidence, as this allows maximum performance within and outside the classroom. She loves working at Five because she is able to see each student grow into a more confident and knowledgeable version of themselves.

Arwen

Arwen went to Westbourne Grammar School where her favourite subjects were Science and especially, Biology. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Melbourne. As hobbies, Arwen enjoys music, cooking and learning new languages. She tutors at Five to help students achieve their goals.

Leanne

Leanne is currently studying a Bachelor of Biomedical Science at Monash University. Leanne completed VCE in 2018 at Suzanne Cory High School and achieved an ATAR that placed her within the top 3% of the State. Needless to say, she knows all the secrets to do well in school. With the constant hope she has for Five’s students, she is determined to help them reach their full potential and achieve their goals. Haris

An alumnus of Werribee Secondary College, Haris is pursuing an undergraduate programme in Mathematics at the University of Melbourne. His goal is to study mathematics at the postgraduate / research level. At school, Haris enjoyed English and Maths classes the most. A specialist in Maths and Physics, Haris tutors at Five because he wants to give others the chance to not only excel in school, but at the same time enjoy their subjects. Haris has always enjoyed his subjects, and strongly believes everyone can find joy in learning with the correct guidance. He also really enjoys reading books.

Tazim

A graduate of Werribee Secondary College, Tazim jokes that her favourite periods in School were actually the free periods! On a more serious note, her favourite subject was Maths Methods. Apart from sharing her passion for Maths Methods with students, Tazim also specialises in the English-related subjects. Tazim is in her final year of university completing a double degree: Chemical Engineering with Honours & Pharmaceutical Science.  In addition to enjoying time with friends and 'me-time', Tazim enjoys exploring the city for delicious cafes and restaurants. Tazim tutors at Five Tuition because she likes the friendly and open work environment.

JEMIN

Jemin completed Year 12 in 2017 and is currently studying a Bachelor of Biomedicine. His favourite subject at school was Maths Methods and Specialist Maths. For Jemin, tutoring a student is all about teamwork, in the sense that the role of a teacher is equally as important as the effort and discipline demonstrated by the student. Jemin believes in how important tutors are for shaping a student’s learning experience and puts forward his best effort to guide them with their learning. An interesting fact about Jemin is that he can speak up to three different languages.

Gauri

Gauri was the College Dux at Marian College in 2019. At School, her favourite subjects were English and Human Development. Currently, in the 3rd year of a Bachelor of Applied Science and Master of Physiotherapy Practice Programme at La Trobe University, Gauri aspires to work as a physiotherapist. Inspired by her teachers, Gauri tutors at Five because loves working with children and making a real difference in their lives. She aims to impart knowledge and skills in her tutees to help them grow as a student and as an individual. Gauri enjoys reading, badminton, bhangra and watching shows on Netflix.

Michelle

Michelle graduated from Mac.Robertson Girls' High School with an ATAR of 99.75. Currently an English and Creative Writing student at Melbourne University, Michelle hopes to do further study in teaching. Michelle specialises in tutoring students in English because she enjoys learning how the English language works and seeing her students gain confidence in their studies. Besides thinking about ideas in books, Michelle enjoys baking and learning how to play music.

Erin

Fives’ fully online communications specialist, Erin, is an alumnus of Salesian College. Her favourite subjects unsurprisingly include English & English literature. A lifelong passion for writing led her to a Bachelor of Communications (Journalism) Programme at RMIT University. Erin aspires to be either a fashion journalist and turn her love for writing into a career or, a high school teacher and inspire in students a love for English. Erin tutors at Five because of the alignment in values and its engagement with culturally & linguistically communities, which she has an affinity with. Erin also volunteers, creates art pieces, and drinks coffee - lots of it!

David

Lead Tutor for our Williams Landing campus, David is currently studying a Bachelor of Biomedical Science and Engineering at Monash University. Tutoring since he graduated from Westbourne Grammar School in 2018, David loves teaching anything science or mathematics related; whether it be the molecular chemistry that helps plants grow, or the forces involved in a satellite moving between two planets. David's favorite subject to teach, however, is English writing. As his highest scoring subject in VCE, David not only knows firsthand what it's like to struggle with writing essays, but more importantly, what it takes to change the narrative and instead, excel at it. In his spare time, David likes to design and 3D print his own creations.

Noor

Noor attended Marian College Sunshine West where her favourite subjects were English, Religion & Society and Chemistry. Currently in her 2nd year of a Biomedicine degree at the University of Melbourne, Noor aspires to be a dentist. Her hobbies include baking, drawing, reading and photography. Noor tutors at Five because it offers her an opportunity to give back to the Community in a positive way while helping students to achieve their academic goals.  

Fiona

Effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin, Fiona attended Westbourne Grammar where she achieved an ATAR that placed her among the top 2% of students in Victoria. Having completed a bachelor’s degree in Design, Fiona is now pursuing a Master’s in Teaching at the University of Melbourne. Fiona tutors at Five Tuition because she is passionate about teaching and Five’s approach aligns with her values: she wishes to inspire and help each individual student develop confidence and achieve their potential. Fiona’s expertise is in Art, Physics and Maths. When she is not drawing and painting, Fiona likes playing badminton and hiking.

Mahnoor

Hailing from Werribee Secondary College, Mahnoor is currently studying for a law degree at Deakin University. She aspires to be a to be a solicitor in Family Law. Mahnoor believes tutoring should be impact-focused and evidence-based to ensure that students receive a quality education. It is for this key reason she tutors at Five Tuition. Mahnoor’s favourite subjects are Health and Human Development, Legal Studies and English. Her hobbies include reading, visiting small bookshops & cafes and cooking & baking sweets.

Neville

At Emmanuel College, Neville liked helping others in their school work: “Seeing someone's face light-up after explaining a concept or problem that they were stuck in is a very satisfying feeling, that not only brightened my day but also strengthened my knowledge on that topic.” With expertise in English & Science (especially, Chemistry), Neville believes in Five’s personalised values-driven approach in building students’ confidence and helping them achieve their goals. Currently in a Bachelor of Science Programme at Melbourne University, Neville aspires to be an Optometrist in the near future. Neville enjoys listening to music and hanging out with friends.
